STEP 8: Create a new save, Just incase the first intro video freezes for you. STEP 7: Select Jak and Daxter and whilst starting this game hold down square and triangle, this turns on the two settings which this game requires. STEP 6: Boot your PS2 and use uLaunchELF to navigate to the USB/Mass and launch the "PS2ESDL_0825_OB.elf" ![]() iso rom file in the DVD folder on your USB drive. the EU version should look like this "SCES_503.61.Jak and Daxter - The Precursor Legacy.iso" STEP 4: Rename your Jak and Daxter rom to include the SLUS/SCES number, so for the US version the filename would be "SCUS_971.24.Jak and Daxter - The Precursor Legacy.iso", without the quotations. ![]() STEP 3: Create two folders on the root of your usb drive, one called "DVD" and another called "CD" without the quotations of course. STEP 2: Extract the files "patches.ppi", "PS2ESDL_0825_OB.elf" and "UI.png" onto a USB drive, that is formatted to FAT32. STEP 1: Download Playstation 2 External Storage Device Game Loader (PS2ESDL), it's old, but was a contender to OPL, sure it's missing a few great features that OPL has like IGR, but it works. Today I come bearing good news! I have figured out how to get this to work!īEFORE YOU BEGIN: You need a FreeMCBoot modded memory card, obviously ![]() ![]() So, a few weeks back I posted here how I couldn't get this game to work at all using OPL, I used multiple versions and none ever ended up working, I could load the game and play it, but when I tried to save it, it just froze, every time.
